For beef cattle producers, LUTALYSE HighCon Injection (dinoprost tromethamine injection) is a high-concentration formula of LUTALYSE Injection, the most veterinarian-prescribed and producer-used prostaglandin in the market.1 LUTALYSE HighCon Injection can be used for estrous synchronization in cows and heifers, the treatment of pyometra (chronic endometritis), and for abortion in cows or heifers.
LUTALYSE HighCon Injection is indicated for abortion in beef cows, beef heifers and replacement dairy cows; treatment of pyometra (chronic endometritis) in cattle; and for unobserved (silent) estrus in lactating dairy cows with a corpus luteum. LUTALYSE HighCon Injection is for use with FACTREL Injection (gonadorelin injection) to synchronize estrous cycles to allow for fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) in lactating dairy or beef cows. It also is approved for use with EAZI-BREED CIDR Cattle Insert in heifers and cows to improve breeding efficiency and pregnancy success. It’s important to note that LUTALYSE HighCon Injection is approved for use in cattle only, not equine or swine like LUTALYSE Injection.
