Fly Control

Flies can be a significant nuisance to beef cattle, and can cause irritation, discomfort, and reduced weight gain. In addition, some flies, such as stable flies and horn flies, feed on the blood of the host animal, which can cause further discomfort and anemia.

To control flies in beef cattle, a combination of physical, chemical, and cultural control measures may be used.
