Excenel RTU EZ Sterile Suspension is a broad spectrum injectable antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni (formerly Haemophilus somnus). It’s also for treatment of acute bovine interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot) caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum and bacteroides melaninogenicus. Also indicated for acute metritis (0 to 14 days post-partum) associated with organisms susceptible to ceftiofur. For use in swine for the treatment and control of swine bacterial respiratory disease (SRD) caused in association with Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis and Streptococcus suis. Latest version of the formula is significantly more syringeable. Same effectiveness as before, just easier to draw up and administer to the animal. Each ml of Excenel RTU EZ contains ceftiofur hydrochloride equivalent to 50 mg ceftiofur. For intramuscular and subcutaneous injection in cattle. For intramuscular injection in swine. Excenel RTU EZ may be used in lactating dairy cattle. Ready-to-use suspension.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Swine: Administer intramuscularly at a dosage of 1 ml per 22 to 37 pounds of bodyweight. Repeat every 24 hours for 3 consecutive days.
Cattle: Administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dosage of 1 to 2 ml per 100 pounds of bodyweight. Repeat every 24 hours for 3 consecutive days.
Additional treatment may be extended to day 4 and 5 of response to treatment is not satisfactory.
