Merck Panacur Suspension Dewormer [1000 mL]
PANACUR (fenbendazole) is a suspension drench used in beef and dairy cattle as an aid in the removal and control of: lungworm; stomach worm (adults): brown stomach worm; stomach worms (adults and fourth stage larvae): barberpole worm and small stomach worm; intestinal worms (adults and fourth stage larvae): hookworm, thread-necked intestinal worm, small intestinal worm, bankrupt worm, and nodular worm. Also can be used in goats for the removal and control of stomach worms (adults).
Fair Balance:
Do not use in horses intended for human consumption. Cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 8 days following treatment. For dairy cattle, there is no milk withdrawal period at the 5mg/kg dose. Do not use at 10mg/kg in dairy cattle. Dose rate of 10mg/kg is for beef cattle only. Dose rate of 10mg/kg in dairy cattle could result in violative residues in milk. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Indications for use:
Infestation of cattle with gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms and tape worms such as Haemonchus spp, Ostertagia spp, Trichostrongylus spp, Cooperia spp, Nematodirus spp.
Dosage and Administration:
Dose recommended for cattle and pigs infestation with gastrointestinal nematodes and lung worms: 5 mg Fenbendazole per kg body weight.
