Umbilical Cord Clamps help to prevent the introduction of bacteria into the newborn animal and also prevents stress from sprays, dips or other environmental irritations. Recent research has confirmed that several diseases, including E.coli scours and Joint-ill, find their way into the newborn animal via the umbilical cord. Sprays and dips can also cause problems. Our umbilical clamps are the solution. Simply attach as soon as possible after birth. Remove after 24 to 48 hours. Place clamp approximately 5mm from top of umbilical cord. Specially designed clamp for easy application to a newborn’s umbilical cord. Seals the cord to stem the bleeding and prevent the entry of bacteria into the navel. Attach as soon after birth as possible. Soon after birth, attach the umbilical cord clamp slightly below the navel. Cut the rest of the umbilical cord off. If desired, dip navel with a mild antibacterial solution. Remove the clamp 24 to 48 hours later or let the clamp fall off. Disinfect the clamps between animals.

Directons: Place clamp approximately 3/16" from top of umbilical cord as soon as possible after brith and remove after 24 to 48 hours. Make sure to cut cord below clamp to prevent suckling.
