W.F.Young UltraShield EX Insecticide & Repellent [qt]

Absorbine UltraShield EX is a sweat resistant, weatherproof insecticide and repellent. The fly spray for horses and dogs provides up to 17 days protection. It kills and repels stable flies, horn flies, house flies, face flies, horse flies, deer flies, cluster flies, sciarid flies, mosquitoes, gnats, midges, punkies, no-see-ums, fleas, ticks, chiggers and lice. The Absorbine fly repellent is a water-based formula and contains multiple sunscreens and coat conditioners, including aloe and lanolin for additional luster and conditioning.
Absorbine UltraShield EX is safe for use on horses, ponies, foals over 12 weeks of age, and dogs. May be used as a premise spray to kill insects on contact. UltraShield EX contains 0.10% pyrethrins, 1.0% piperonyl butoxide, and 0.50% permethrin.

INSTRUCTIONS
For horses, ponies and foals (over 12 weeks of age): This product can be used as a wipe or a spray. When applying as a wipe or on the horse’s face, always use a soft cloth. First, brush the animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Spray or wipe horse’s entire body while brushing against the lay of the coat to ensure adequate coverage. Do not wet skin or apply to the point of dripping. Do not exceed 2 oz per application. After application, brush thoroughly to bring out bright sheen on the coat.

Reapply every 7 to 10 days under normal conditions for initial applications. As protection builds, reapply every 12 to 17 days as needed. Reapply every time the animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain.

For dogs and puppies (over 12 weeks of age): Cover your pet’s eyes with a hand and spray head, ears and chest until damp. Take a soft cloth and rub spray into face around the mouth, nose and eyes. Spray the neck, middle and hind quarts, finishing with the legs. Direct spray against natural lay of the hair. On long-haired dogs, rub against the lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind the hand. Thoroughly wet ticks. Retreat every 3 to 4 weeks during the flea season. Provides up to 28 days protection.
