Noromectin Injection [500 mL]

Noromectin is an injectable ivermectin swine and cattle wormer. It is highly effective for treatment and control of internal and external parasites including roundworms, lungworms, grubs, lice and mange mites. Noromectin (ivermectin) Injection is an injectable parasiticide for cattle and swine. One low-volume dose effectively treats and controls the following internal and external parasites that may impair the health of cattle and swine: gastrointestinal roundworms (including inhibited Ostertagia ostertagi in cattle), lungworms, grubs, sucking lice and mange mites of cattle; and gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, lice and mange mites of swine. Ivermectin’s convenience, broad-spectrum efficacy and safety margin make Noromectin Injection a unique product for parasite control of cattle and swine.

Noromectin injection is a broad spectrum anthelmintic that should be administered via subcutaneous injection observing aseptic technique. It is effective in the control and treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms, eye worms, warble flies, mites and lice in beef and non-lactating dairy cattle. The dosage rate in cattle is 1.0ml per 50 kg bodyweight, sheep is 0.5ml per 25 kg and pigs get 1ml per 33kg. To ensure administration of a correct dose, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible. The accuracy of the dosing device should be checked. If animals are to be treated collectively rather than individually they should be grouped according to their bodyweight and dosed accordingly, in order to avoid under or over dosing. Inject subcutaneously in front of, or behind the shoulder using aseptic technique.

A sterile 1.4 x 15 mm (17G x half inch) needle is recommended. A dosing programme should be established with your veterinary surgeon. Veterinary advice should be sought on appropriate dosing programmes and stock management to achieve adequate parasite control and to reduce the likelihood of anthelmintic resistance developing. Veterinary advice should also be sought if the product does not achieve the desired clinical effect, as other diseases, nutritional disturbances or anthelmintic resistance might be involved. Frequent and repeated use may lead to the development of resistance. It is important that the correct dose is given in order to minimize the risk of resistance. Ivermectins may not be well tolerated in non-target species and may be fatal. In cattle, the withdrawal for edible tissues from slaughtered animal is 49 days. Not permitted for use in lactating cows producing milk for human consumption. Do not use in non-lactating dairy cows including pregnant dairy heifers within 60 days of calving.
