Lamb Feeding Tube [60 mL]

Used for feeding colostrum to lambs. A 60ml metered syringe to help administer doses quickly yet gently. Latex tube reduces the risk of injury to the lamb during insertion and softens when in place. Tube feeding can be necessary in newborns that won’t nurse from their dam and will not take a bottle. Always try to get them to nurse or bottle feed before attempting a tube feed. Most newborn crias will require feeds of between 60-120ml depending on the size of the cria. Crias must be capable of holding their heads up in order to provide a tube-feed: otherwise there is an increased risk of inhaling milk. Designed to be placed directly into esophagus to force feed lambs too weak to nurse on their own. Rubber feeding tube is 16" long and approx. 3/16" diameter.
