Gil Teat Dip (1/2%) [55 gal]

Use on each teat as an aid in a complete cow health care program to help reduce the spread of organisms that may cause mastitis. Not intended to cure or help the healing of chapped or irritated teats. In case of irritation or chapping, have cow examined by a veterinarian. Immediately after each cow is milked, dip the teats in undiluted Iodine teat dip. Ideally a fresh teat dip solution should be provided for each cow and in no case should the same cup of solution be used for more than 3 or 4 cows before discarding and providing a fresh solution. Just prior to the next milking thoroughly wash the treated udder and teats in potable water. Use a fresh towel for each cow and never dip used towels back into the solution. When a cow is being dried off, dip the teats for 3 or 4 days after the last milking. Do not use for cleaning and/or sanitizing milk equipment.

Directions: Always use fresh, undiluted product. If product becomes visibly dirty, discard contents and refill with fresh product. Do not reuse or return used product to original container.

Pre-Dip/Spray: Just prior to milking, if udders are heavily soiled, wash entire udder thoroughly with Gil Udder Wash. Dry udder with a single-service towel to avoid milk contamination.
Either spray teats with undiluted Gil Ultra Dip or fill teat cup with undiluted product. Dip each teat as far as possible into the teat cup. Wipe teat dry after dipping or spraying using a single-service towel to avoid contaminating milk.

Post-Dip: Immediately after milking, submerge entire teat in undiluted product. Allow to air dry—do not wipe. Do not let cows out in freezing weather until completely dry.

First Aid
Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids. Contact a physician immediately.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Drink large amounts of milk or water. Contact a physician immediately. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Warning: For exteneral use only on dairy cows. Keep from freezing. If it is frozen, discard. May cause eye irritation. May be harmful if swallowed. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Do not use for cleaning or sanitizing equipment. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Wash thoroughly after handling it.
