Focus Cat Vax 3® (1 ds)
Focus Cat Vax 3® (1 ds)
Focus Cat Vax 3 Injection with Syringe is designed for administration by subcutaneous injection. Cat shots containing Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia as modified live virus antigens help aid in disease prevention. Each of the viruses are widespread and are common disease-causing agents in cats, making these a great choice for kitten shots. Focus Cat Vax 3 Vaccine 1 Dose, for the vaccination of healthy cats 8 weeks of age or older as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici, and Panleukopenia (feline distemper) viruses.
Indications: for subcutaneous vaccination of healthy cats, eight weeks of age or older, as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by feline rhinotracheitis, calici and panleukopenia (feline distemper) viruses. Due to maternal antibodies in kittens, repeated vaccinations are recommended until 12 weeks of age. See recommended vaccination protocol for a complete schedule.
Precautions: Store out of direct sunlight at 35-45°F (2-7°C). Do not freeze. Do not vaccinate pregnant animals. Only vaccinate healthy animals. Burn containers and unused contents. Although rare, severe allergic reactions (anaphylactoid) may occur that require immediate veterinary care. Antidote: Epinephrine. Contains Neomycin and Polymyxin B as preservatives.
Directions and Dosage: The dosage is 1 mL injected subcutaneously using aseptic technique. Open syringe by twisting or tapping the cap against a hard surface to break the heat weld. Prepare the vaccine by injecting the diluent into the vial containing the desiccated vaccine cake. Shake well. Withdraw entire contents into the syringe. Subcutaneous administration: Lift the loose skin behind the neck or behind the right hind leg and insert needle. Inject entire contents of syringe. Do not inject directly into blood vessel.
