This economical submergible tank de-icer is designed to rest on the bottom of a stock tank, unnoticed by livestock. Its thermostatic control operates the heating element only when necessary. A sturdy, protective cage permits use in all tanks, including plastic. 1,000 watts of power. Thermostatically controlled with automatic shut-off. Begins operating at 35ºF; heats water to 45ºF, then shuts down until water falls below 35ºF again. Features an exposed element but comes with a protective guard.
