EstroPLAN is an injection to induce luteolysis in beef and dairy cattle. The luteolytic action of estroPLAN injection can be utilized to manipulate the estrous cycle to better fit certain management practices, to terminate pregnancies resulting from mismatings, and to treat certain conditions associated with prolonged luteal function. EstroPlan is a prostaglandin F2-alpha analogue containing cloprostenol sodium. It is intramuscularly injected for luteolysis induction of dairy and beef cattle. This medication's luteolytic action is useful in manipulating estrous cycles to conform to specific management practices, treat prolonged luteal function-related conditions, and terminate pregnancies in mismating situations. Each ml contains 263 mcg of cloprostenol sodium, 1 mg chlorocresol as a bactericide, citric acid anhydrous 0.66 mg, sodium citrate 5.03 mg, sodium chloride 6.76 mg.
