For the vaccination of healthy dairy cows and heifers as an aid in reducing coliform mastitis due to Escherichia coli bacteria. This killed vaccine; contains cultures of the J-5 strain of Escherichia coli bacteria. Unvaccinated animals contracting coliform mastitis may experience abortions, loss of milk production in the affected quarter and it can be life threating. Formulated with high antigen content and quality for maximum effectiveness. Gram-negative infections from bacteria like Escherichia coli cause mastitis that leads to milk loss, culling and death. BOVILIS J-5 is a Gram-negative core-antigen vaccine that aids in the reduction of mastitis due to E. coli – with the lowest level of endotoxins to minimize potential side effects.
Bovilis J-5 is low in endotoxin and the only brand with the endotoxin level printed on the bottle to assure you of the product&rsquos safety. This product is intended for use in healthy dairy cattle as an aid in the reduction of mastitis due to Escherichia coli. To use, shake well and administer a 5 mL dose SQ. Three doses are recommended at four to six week intervals. Do not vaccinate within 2 weeks of parturition.
Cows: Administer 5 ml SubQ. Three doses are recommended at four to six week intervals. Do not vaccinate within two weeks of parturition.
