Albon Boluses [15g] (50 Count)

Albon Bolus is effective in the treatment of shipping fever, bacterial pneumonia, foot root and diphtheria in cattle. Albon should be administered to cattle so the initial dose is equivalent to 25mg/lb of body weight and each subsequent daily does is equivalent to 12.5mg/lb of body weight. Treatment should not be continued beyond 5 days. The ALBON Bolus Tablets For Cattle (Sulfadimethoxine) are livestock antibiotics for any life stage. This is an oral treatment of shipping fever complex, bacterial pneumonia, calf diphtheria and foot rot. This long-acting ALBON bolus for cattle in a low dose provides rapid, sustained blood levels at higher levels than most other long-acting sulfonamides. Low toxicity. Approved for use in lactating dairy cows. These cattle antibiotics are given at 25 mg/lb. body weight for first day, 12.5 mg/lb. for subsequent 3-4 days. Includes 50 bolus tablets for cattle.

Albon Boluses are effective in the treatment of shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. sensitive to sulfadimethoxine; and calf diphtheria and foot rot associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum (Sphaerophorus necrophorus) sensitive to sulfadimethoxine in cattle. These low-dose boluses are rapidly absorbed and contain long-acting sulfonamide. Supplied as 50 of the 5 gm boluses, 12 of the 15 gm boluses or 50 of the 15 gm boluses.

Albon should be administered to cattle so that the initial dose is equivalent to 25 mg/lb of body weight and each subsequent daily dose is equivalent to 12.5 mg/lb of body weight. Length of treatment will depend on clinical response. In most cases, treatment for 3-4 days is adequate. Treatment should not be continued beyond 5 days.

Available in 12 and 50ct 15g bolus and 50ct 5g bolus.
Sulfadimethoxine. To be used in the treatment of footrot, bacterial pneumonia, shipping fever and calf diphtheria. Approved for Dairy - Hold Milk 60 hours.
Dosage: 2 per 1000 pounds first day then 1 per 1000 pounds next 3-4 days.

WARNINGS:

Not for Human Use
Milk taken from animals during treatment and for 60 hours (5 milkings) after the latest treatment must not be used for food.
Do not slaughter animals for food purposes within 7 days following the last treatment.
A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in preruminating calves.
Do Not Use in Calves to be Processed for Veal.
DISCARD MILK FOR 60 HOURS AFTER LAST TREATMENT
DO NOT SLAUGHTER COW FOR 7 DAYS AFTER LAST TREATMENT
