Draxxin Injectable Solution

Draxxin Injectable Solution is a ready-to-use sterile parenteral preparation containing tulathromycin, a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic of the subclass triamilide. Each mL of Draxxin Injectable Solution contains 100 mg of tulathromycin as the free base in a propylene glycol vehicle. A single dose for full course treatment reduces labor, stress and cost. Draxxin is approved to treat 4 major pathogens in the fight against bovine respiratory disease (BRD). With quick absorption into tissue and prolonged concentration in the lungs, it offers low-volume dosing to reduce injection site reactions. Draxxin is for high-risk cattle in the treatment and control of BRD caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somnus, and Mycoplasma bovis. For treatment of swine respiratory disease (SRD) caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, and Haemophilus parasuis.

Cattle dosage: Administer 1.1 ml per 100 lbs body weight subcutaneously in the neck. Do not inject more than 10 ml per injection site.

Swine dosage: Administer 0.25 ml per 22 lbs body weight subcutaneously in the neck. Do not inject more than 2.5 ml per injection site.

Indications:
DRAXXIN Injectable Solution is indicated for the following: treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni and Mycoplasma bovis; and for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk of developing BRD associated with M. haemolytica, P. multocida, H. somni and Mycoplasma bovis; for the treatment of infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (pinkeye) associated with Moraxella bovis; and for the treatment of interdigital necrobacillosis (bovine foot rot) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Porphyromonas levii.
