This topical liquid is 99% pure and exhibits very extensive solvent properties; substances possessing a strongly polar character are generally easily dissolved in DMSO Liquid 99%. This product may be used to help treat physical trauma, reduce pain and swelling, and symptoms of arthritis in horses. It can also be used as an extraction solvent. DMSO Liquid 99% helps ease arthritis symptoms in horses by reducing the pain and swelling associated with the disease as well as trauma. This topical ointment is an anti-inflammatory agent. DMSO is a rapidly absorbed skin penetrant. With the ability to carry other substances through membranes it acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. DMSO is also a cryoprotective agent that helps protect frozen tissue. Additionally, DMSO is a potent antioxidant, scavenging the highly reactive molecules that contribute to disease and aging, known as free radicals.
